Master of Science Degree in Nuclear Engineering from North Carolina State University, U.S.A. D.I.C from Imperial College. Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from West Virginia University, U.S.A. Senior Scientist of the International Centre for Theoretical Physics, ICTP, Trieste. Consultant ad hoc to the International Atomic Energy Agency, IAEA. Researcher Category 1, classified by the Brazilian National Research Councel (CNPq). Consultant to CNPq and CAPES of Brazil. Author of a neutron scattering model for organic moderators. The inventor of a new nuclear reactor concept, namely the Fluidized and Fixed Bed Nuclear Reactor (FBNR). The founder of the Research Centre for Global Governance, RCGG. The winner of 1999 Best Social Innovation Award conferred by the Institute for Social Inventions, England.
